About the Authors:
Will Sommer (Owner, Editor, Writer)
A passionate Mets fan, Mets Fans Forever was born in May of 2008. I started this blog for many reasons. The main reason though is that I love the Mets, and I felt like I needed to write about them. My favorite moment in Mets history is the catch by Endy Chavez, which robbed Scott Rolen of a home run in game six of the 2006 NLCS. My favorite Mets player of all time is Keith Hernandez.
Victor Ladd (Technical Advisor, Site Manager)
A Mets fan from birth, my favorite Mets moment is when Ron Swoboda made a miraculous catch in game four of the 1969 world series to prevent at least a run. My favorite Mets player is Keith Hernandez.
Clare Lafferty (Writer)
A Mets fan since 1968, I work at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ (a suburb of Philadelphia). My first favorite Met was Cleon Jones and my current one is David Wright. My favorite Mets moment aside from Game 6 was Robin Ventura's grand slam single.
Drew Costello (Writer)
I live in Arlington Massachusetts. My father grew up in Brooklyn New York and raised me as a Mets fan. My favorite Mets player ever has to be Mike Piazza. I still remember how it felt like the franchise changed when we traded for him. My favorite Mets moment was Game 5 of the 1999 NLCS when Robin Ventura hit the Grand Slam Single.
Paul Zinn (Writer)
I became a Met fan growing up in New Jersey in 1986. Now I am displaced as a Met fan in Boston but am still a diehard fan. I work as a Business Solutions Specialist for Premiere Global Services, which is a communications company. My favorite Met is Jose Reyes and my favorite moment of course is winning the 1986 World Series.
Adam Lowenthal (Writer) A Mets fan since 1991, I am a student at SUNY Albany, NY. My first favorite Met was Rey Ordonez and my current one is Jose Reyes. My favorite Mets moment aside from Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, as that is every Mets favorite moment, was Endy Chavez’s incredible catch in left field at Shea Stadium, I was lucky enough to witness it!
Nathan Mize (Writer)
I have been a Mets fan my whole life, which hasn't been easy living in the middle of the country. My two favorite Mets players of all time have to be Keith Hernandez and Tom Glavine. My favorite current Mets player is David Wright. My favorite Mets moment was when they won the 1986 World Series.
