Does anyone hear anything from the Mets? It has been awful quiet since the announcements of our new manager and general manager. Now, I know that Sandy Alderson said that the Mets were not in a position to make many moves, but come on! Why are we signing has-beens and players that no ones has ever heard of? (Carrasco, Chin-lung Hu??). Has anything been decided on the fates of Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez? Please, Sandy, tell us that these two will not be coming to Port St Lucie next month.
I want to be able to go to the Mets web site and see stories of players that we are pursuing and not old stories from years ago when the Mets were good or of winter ball updates. I know our hands are tied, but can the Mets management make some attempt to appease the fans and let us know that they really care about us and this team?
