After tonight's 4-2 win over the Phillies, a thought popped into my head. If the Mets were to play spoilers this year, (what I mean by that is how the Nats and Marlins were spoilers last year in keeping the Mets out of the playoffs) say for example by knocking out the Marlins out of the wild card would you care at all, or still be extremely angry about how the season played out?
I would be thrilled if the Mets did something like that. For me my thought process would be "we just knocked a team out of the playoffs, that has killed us the final week of September, each of the past two seasons. Now we're not the only fan base depressed over the winter, and we just made all of the Marlins hard fought season irrelevant"
So MFF readers hit the comments section, so you can tell me how you would feel if this happened.

I'd already been thinking about this. However, I would rather see the Marlins sweet this series against the Braves, and the Mets sweep the Phillies ultimately leading to the Marlins knocking the Phillies out of first within the next couple of weeks, and eventually completely out of contention. Then we can ask Cole Hamels who the choke artists are now. I say root for the Marlins. F the Phillies!

Did you hear about the latest in the hearing over the domestic abuse claim Rihanna has on rapper Chris Brown. The Judge has stated that Rihanna now must only date members of The Mets until the situation blows over.
Reasoning being The Mets do not beat anyone.
