This makes sense seeing as how the Mets are extremely thin on pitching depth at this point. Redding may have been effective this season, but you can't argue that the guy can eat innings.

I've seen more positive things said about the Mets today than I did in the last month and a half. People have been angry, but people also want to find any sort of hope that this team will turn it around. This week's series is a big first step.
